THE END OF WHITE WALLS is the tag line of Art Faux Design, a company owned and operated by Christine McPherson. Christine started the company nine years ago in Dallas, Texas.

Since moving to Bakersfield in 2005, she has built a reputation for excellent client service and satisfaction. Her specialties are exotic European textures and multi-dimensional color applications. A large portion of her work transforms fireplaces and columns into works of art.

Fun and dreamy children’s murals and home décor murals are also in high demand from Christine. Many new wall designs are done with modellos, a product used to create detailed designs on ceilings, walls, floors and furniture.

In addition to an extensive offering of beautiful faux finishes and murals, Christine offers on-site full color consultations to help clients select the best paint colors for their homes.

Most of Christine's designer wall finishes are a result of countless hours of experimentation in the studio with a combination of specialty products and fine art techniques. Thousands of square feet later, Christine has proven talent in artisan faux techniques.

Christine attended East Carolina University in North Carolina where she graduated with a BSBA and a minor design. Christine enjoys acrylic abstract painting and currently attends classes with her mentor Robert Burridge whenever possible.
